ROBIN HOOD FALL WORKSHOP

Who is Robin Hood? Vigilante or vagrant? In this theatre devising workshop, read and research the ballads and legends which spawned the timeless myth. Through a blend of reading discussion, improv games, creative writing, and more, participants will help develop the script for Firebird’s Spring Play.

Since 2013, Firebird has been a creative home for young artists to develop original, professional-grade theatre productions which are inspired by research of the classical canon. This Fall, join Leo Lion & Izzy Pflanz for a research & development workshop of our Spring Play, which explores questions of resistance, community, and mutual aid — the history that inspired Robin Hood and the way his story resonates today.

Note: The rehearsal and production portion of this process will take place in the Spring semester. This workshop is NOT a show, it is a study/development workshop with reading, discussion, and theatre devising elements. You may choose to participate in this research workshop, the production, or both.
